大學生考研英語作文精選篇1

Dear friends,

Today I returned to my home. It is so nice to be back. I&39;d like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt and sincere thanks for the comfort and encouragement you gave me during my stay in hospital.

Thanks to the horrible accident, I have begun to treasure what I have now. It was your love that got me through the tough period. Your cards, flowers and smiling faces were like a warm fire in the dark freezing winter nights, which will always spur me on and give me strength.

Once more I would like to say "thank you" to you all.

Yours,

Li Ming

Dear George,

How are you? I haven&39;t seen you for a while. Hope all is well. I&39;m writing because I&39;m inviting some friends over for dinner to celebrate my birthday and I thought you&39;d like to join us.

The dinner will be at my place, next Friday at 7 o&39;clock p.m. I will do the cooking and provide the beer and wine. I&39;m sure you will be pleased to learn that I will be cooking Sichuan food. I&39;ve included a map of how to get to my new apartment. It&39;s a little out of the way, I&39;m afraid, but I&39;ve got a spare room and you&39;re welcome to stay the night if you wish.

Anyway, do let me know if you can make it. My new number is at the top of the page, so you can give me a call at any time. Take care and see you soon.

Yours,

Li Ming

大學生考研英語作文精選篇3

The bar chart above reflects what undergraduates plan to do after graduation. 35.2% of undergraduates plan to sit the Civil Service Exams, and 31.9% plan to take examinations for a graduate program, each accounting for approximately one third of the total. Just under 10% plan to be teachers; 13.4% wish to work for companies; 3.7% aim to start their own business; and 6% have alternative ideas.

With the job market becoming increasingly gloomy, undergraduates are opting for two main career paths. The first is to improve their career prospects by opting for further studies, whether for a master&39;s or doctoral degree. The second is to aim for an "iron rice bowl" to give themselves job security. Whereas before most undergraduates&39; preference would have been to work for a company, these jobs are now harder to attain and the financial rewards less than before.

It is becoming more and more apparent that to find a job and then to keep it are the key driving forces behind graduates&39; decisions today.
